About me

Hi, I’m Anna and I am a trained sociophonetician with an MA in Linguistics from the University of Copenhagen. Graduating in 2016, I have worked on topics ranging from transgender voices to Danish dialect variation. I have taught classes on postcolonialism, Danish grammar/phonetics/semantics/pragmatics as well as acoustic analysis. I love teaching!

I am currently finishing my PhD at the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics at UCPH. My research bears the working title Accommodation in Interaction: individual, regional and contextual patterns and is part of the project Speaking Up: Language as a Factor for Social Mobility in Denmark.

This site is both a way for me to keep track of my work through precarious employment and to share my thoughts and expertise with the (research) community; see my Blog for the latter.
